A Rebroadcast of Lynda's Last Radio Interview On June 3, 2007
On June 3, 2007 Lynda Winter, terminally ill with cancer, shared her end-of-life plans, her ethical will, and her unique and insightful take on life. She could have written a book or magazine article or gone on Oprah but she chose our WomenAreTalkingShow to tell her story and say goodbye.
She talks about relationships being easy; choosing the right person is the difficult part and she contends that many of us have "broken choosers " when it comes to dating and marriage.
Ambra Clerc introduced me to Lynda and Ambra joins co-hosts Jamie Gibson and Shara Helson on this rebroadcast of an American Mid-West woman facing death and looking back at life.
Lynda Winter died on August 5, 2007, peacefully.

born Jan 29, 1942. Gone again on August 5, 2007. See, David, I told you I was sick. Having battled ADHD all my life, I finally finished something. Bridget's so proud. As you read this, know that I am okay. Special love and thanks to my children: Sean Sheridan, my daughter-in-love Alexandra Poer Sheridan, and my granddaughter Talulla; to my daughter Bridget A Sheridan, son-in-love David A. Listerman, and my grandsons Gunnar and Steffen; and (in birth order) Shane M. Sheridan, daughter-in love Michelle Robinson Sheridan, and my granddaughters Piper and Phoebe. Know I am with the love of my life, your Dad, John J. Sheridan. To my brothers, Roy, Ron, and Bob Gunar: Thanks for toughening me up. Thanks to my sisters-in-love Judy, Karabeth, and Barbara for all your love and support. To my nieces, nephew, and your families: I love you, love you. My surrogate family Brian, Gail, Collin, Ann Joyce and wee Hayden: Thanks for loving me. To my surrogate daughter Lisa Finnie: Love forever. To my many friends who make up my spiritual family, I am eternally grateful for all of your hard work in helping me prepare for the ultimate trip. Thanks for taking so much of the burden off my family. You have taught me how to be a friend. In my professional career at WSU, Greene Hall, Samaritan Hall, and New Life Family Workshop, a special thanks to each of you who allowed me to meddle. It was an honor. I hope I was helpful. I had a real good time, and I invite you to celebrate my life together at Banjara Banquet Center, 818 Factory Road, Beavercreek, OH at 6:30PM on Saturday, August 11, 2007 (casual - celebratory attire). If you didn't send flowers when I was alive, don't bother to send them now. For those who would like, please send a donation in Gunnar's name to Parent Project MD, 158 Linwood Plaza, Suite 220, Fort Lee, NJ 07024; or to the Montessori Children's Center LLC, 4369 Valley Street, Dayton, Ohio 45424.
